Mary Audrey "Moggy" Hooper's Obituary
Mary Audrey “Moggy” Hooper of Federalsburg, passed away at her home on Mon., Feb. 2, 2009. She was 92 years old.
She was born March 15, 1916 in Ellwood, near Preston, MD the daughter
of the late Edward and Augusta Smith Crumble. Her husband, William E. “Biggie” Hooper preceded her in death on July 24, 1995.
She helped her husband in farming and was a homemaker. For over 50 years she attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Federalsburg and was held in high esteem as Church Mother.
She is survived by a daughter, Anita Louise Crumble of Yeadon, PA, two sons, Dorsey L. Hooper and his wife, Elva G., of and G. Maurice Hooper, and his wife Geraldine, all of Bowie, MD, a granddaughter whom she raised, Rhonda Crumble of Yeadon, PA and an additional 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was one of 16 children with a surviving sister, Melva Hill and her husband, John D., of Seaford, DE, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at noon at the Framptom Funeral Home. Interment followed at Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg.
