Mary Doreen "Dee" Loftus' Obituary
Mary Doreen “Dee” Loftus of Federalsburg passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 77.
She was born on July 10, 1933 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Bevis McGuire Bowles and Doretha Isabel Clarke Bowles.
After high school graduation, she attended Emerson Business School and later Gardner School of Business both in Washington, DC. In 1972, the family moved to Federalsburg. She had worked for Gerardi Brothers in Federalsburg and later worked for Glacier Refrigerated Express.
She is survived by four children, Michael Loftus and Mani Guesfeird both of Federalsburg, Tony Loftus of Jacksonville, AR, and Kelly Loftus of Federalsburg, six grandchildren, Whitney Loftus, Tyler Loftus, Abby Loftus, Josh Bayliss, Tabatha Guesfeird and Zachary Guesfeird, a special niece, Barbara Schmidt of Easton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Bergman.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to the Caroline Home for Hospice, Post Office Box 362, Denton, MD 21629 or to the Memorial Hospital at Easton Palliative Care Unit, 219 South Washington Street, Easton, MD 21601.
