Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Marine's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Paul Marine, known fondly as “Libby” of Galestown passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Delmar Nursing Home in Delmar, DE. She was 94.
She was born on June 24, 1916 in Williamsburg, Maryland, the daughter of the late Albert K. Paul and Hilda Windsor Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty one years, Thomas Martin Marine on July 30, 1999.
She had worked at Maryland Plastics as a press operator until her retirement in 1981 . She was a member of Galestown United Methodist Church where she had served on the board of trustees and had taught MYF.
She is survived by two children, Randall E. Marine of Galestown, Charlotte M. Baez and her husband, Danny of Federalsburg, a granddaughter, Karen E. Baez of Federalsburg, a great-granddaughter, Ramsey Jester of Federalsburg, and a sister, Catherine Lowther of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Paul, and three sisters, Rebecca Medford, Leona Winslow, and Frances Willison.
A funeral service will held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Ruth Tull officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Galestown Cemetery.
