Mary Virginia Fishell's Obituary
Mary Virginia Fishell of American Corner passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Life Care at Lofland Park in Seaford. She was 97.
She was born on November 15, 1914 in Cambridge, MD, the daughter of the late Payton H. Wheatley and Ethel M. Bestpitch Wheatley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Russell A. Fishell on March 26, 1992.
She was a school bus driver and retired after thirty years of service. She also was a retired poultry farmer. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth H. Fishell and his wife Barbara, three grandchildren, Kenneth H. Fishell, Jr. and his wife, Sabrina, Kevin R. Fishell and his wife, Eve, and Karen F. Newcomb and her husband, Jim all of American Corner, six great-grandchildren, Kenneth H. Fishell, III, Kit Fishell, Kassidy Fishell, Karley Fishell, Davis Newcomb, Caroline Newcomb, two great-great-grandchildren, Olivia Fishell and Ryleigh Fishell, a brother, Henry Downes Wheatley of Seaford, a sister, Doris Newell of Easton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Levin A. Fishell and two sisters, Katherine Smith and Bernice Trice.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Price officiating. Interment will be follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-3 p.m.
