Matthew Wayne Elmore's Obituary
Matthew Wayne Elmore, died at his home in Preston, on Thursday October 12, 2023. He was 43.
Born on June 7, 1980 in Baltimore County, MD he was the son of Mark Elmore, Sr. and Deborah Crandell Elmore, of Preston. Matt attended Bear Creek Elementary School in Dundalk, then General John Stricker Middle School also in Dundalk. His family moved to the Eastern Shore in 1992, Matt then attended Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg.
After his education, Matt worked for various area construction companies. He worked for Simpkins Roofing in Easton until its closing, then various other contractors including Total Home Performance. He then wanted a career change and began working at Arby's in Easton until the time of his death.
Matt's goal in life was to be a Professional Bass Fisherman, something he had a true passion for. Along with his passion for fishing, Matt also had many more hobbies. He enjoyed going to yard sales with his family, as he enjoyed collecting antique items. Matt also loved to indulge in woodworking by making his friends and family many original pieces of art. He also loved being outdoors, anything from spending time outside playing with his children, to hunting and fishing on the Choptank River and Marshy Hope Creek, where he found delight in the ambiance. Matt will always be remembered by his kind heart, if someone needed help, he would never hesitate to do what he could to help them. His one of a kind personality and his humor will be greatly misse.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his twin son's Matthew Elmore (Kassie) and Brandon Elmore, his life partner; Kimberly Wooters, and their children; a daughter; Macy Elmore, a son; Wayden Elmore, two children that he raise as his own; Conner and Jed Wooters, a special niece; Megan Elmore, and one future grandchild on the way; Aldelynn Wren. Matt was preceded in death by a daughter; Gracie Elmore and a brother; Mark Elmore, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Framptom Funeral Home Federalsburg, on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00PM where a viewing will be held from 11:00AM until the time of the service.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
