Matthew Scott Frankton's Obituary
St. Michaels: Matthew Scott Frankton of St. Michaels, died unexpectedly in Lewes, DE on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was 51. Born on February 19, 1970 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Karol Pressley Potter and the late Hancel Mullins. At the age of 4 months, he was adopted by the late Roland and Patricia Frankton of Ridgely, MD. He attended North Caroline High School. After high school, Matt worked as a finish carpenter for Vince Foster, his best and dedicated friend until the end. May, 7th, 1998, Matt was involved in a motor vehicle accident rendering him a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. He enjoyed shooting pool, he was an avid Ravens and NASCAR fan and he loved to fish and hunt.
In addition to his biological mother, Matt is survived by his life partner Vicki Johnson Morris of St. Michaels, two step children; Beth Sadler Greenhawk (Corey Beebe) and Ray Morris ((Elizabeth) all of St. Michaels, 4 step grandchildren; Jacob and Emma Sadler, Gavin and Saylor Greenhawk of St Michaels, Md, three brothers; Mark Frankton (Lynn), of Ridgely, MD, Gary Glover (Donna) and Chuck Glover of Goodview, VA; 2 sisters, Michelle Neuwiler (Richard), of Ridgely, MD and Tracey Potter of Goodview, VA, a nephew, Steven Frankton (April), Ridgely, MD and a great nephew, Nathaniel Christian Frankton. Matt is also survived by numerous close family members, Marie Johnson, Sherry Hurley, Leigh Ruth, Lynn Conrad, and Doug Morris, multiple other nieces, nephews and cousins. Matt will be sorely missed by his constant canine companion, Marley.
A celebration of Matt's life will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Framptom Funeral Home-Ostrowski Chapel, 312 S. Talbot Street St. Michaels.
