Matthew B. Garrett
Easton, Matthew Brian Garrett, of Easton died as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident on Saturday June 29, 2013. He was 25. Born in Easton, on July 5, 1987 he was the son of Paul Garrett and Debbie Henckel Garrett of Easton. Matt was a 2005 graduate of Easton High School. He played little league baseball and soccer and was a member of F.F.A. Matt’s greatest pride and joy was being a dad to his little girl Rylee Mae. Matt loved being raised and living on the Wye House farm where he enjoyed working with his father on the farm. Matts obsessions were hunting and fishing with his friends. Matt was proud to be a Native Eastern-Shoreman, he was passionate about his new boat, crabbing and oystering and hanging out with his vast number of friends. Matt touched so many lives and was loved by all. In addition to his beloved parent’s; Matt is survived by his sister; Taylor Garrett of Easton and his little girl Rylee Mae, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church, Easton, MD; on Saturday, July 6, 2013, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be at the Oxford Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Billy Adams, Darin Hutchison, Mitchell Hughes, P.T. Hambleton, Ryan Crouch, Tommy Blades, Travis Meiklejohn and Logan Milby. Honorary Pallbearer’s will be, Ben Byers, Hunter Daisy, Jesse Spencer, Richie Long, Brian “Wiz” Hambleton and Danny Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to the Rylee Mae, trust fund Talbot Bank, St. Michaels Branch C/o Dawn Henckel 1013 S. Talbot St. suite 1 St. Michaels, MD.
