Melvin L Adams' Obituary
Melvin L. Adams of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away suddenly on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Tidal Health - Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. He was 91 years old.
Born on May 7, 1932 in Federalsburg, Melvin was the son of Kemp J. Adams and Maggie Marvel Adams. He graduated from Hurlock High School in 1949. Later Melvin served for three years in the U. S. Air Force. Following his honorable discharge he went to work back in Federalsburg for the U. S. Postal Service and retired after 37 years as a clerk.
Melvin was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church where he was very involved with the music ministry. He brought his talents to the choir and was the church pianist for over forty years. In his free time Melvin loved working in his yard, tending to his garden, and growing beautiful flowers.
Surviving Melvin is his great-nephew Ryan Kemp Schulke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Madeline Adams Schulke; and his nephew Ronald Schulke.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 2pm in Federalsburg's Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Marie Coulbourne will officiate.
Memorial donations in Melvin's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
