Meredith Kaye "Mac" McGough's Obituary
Meredith Kaye “Mac” McGough died at his home in Denton, Maryland on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. He was 64 years old.
He was born on September 13, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Gerald and Ruth Schessler McGough.
He served in the Army from 1959 – 1966 reaching the rank of Specialist 6th class. He received his Bachelors degree in psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
He had retired after working for the Maryland Department of Parole and Probation for several years as a DWI Monitor.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Green McGough of Denton, and 5 children, Stephen McGough of Detroit, MI, Laura McGough of Mooresburg, TN, Royal D. Johnson of Essex, MD, Deborah K. Akers of Clayton, DE and William D. Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, 13 grandchildren, Paige Schunn, Benjamin Schunn, Zachary Schunn, Norm Welsh, Daman Davis, Chelsea Akers, M’Lisa Johnson, Kayla L. Johnson, Austin T. Johnson, Lorenzo Johnson, Theresa Johnson, Amy Akers and Russell Akers, a great-granddaughter, Jada Rose, two brothers, Owen McGough and Gerald McGough of Sterling Heights, MI and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the McGough home at 406 Fountain Avenue. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Bell, Sr. officiating.
The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Caroline Hospice Foundation P.O.Box 362 Denton, MD 21629.
