Michael Brian Cox's Obituary
Michael Brian Cox, of Preston, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his home. He was 56.
He was born on September 3, 1959 in Baltimore City and was a son of the Harold Lee Cox, Sr. and late Joan Frances Eckert Cox.
On September 17, 1990, he married the former Deborah Minsinger. Michael was an avid sports fan, especially of the Baltimore Ravens and loved collecting sports memorabilia. He enjoy hunting and fishing and was a very creative man, who loved working with his hands.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah Minsinger Cox, of Preston, a daughter, Jennifer Hughes and her husband Frederick, of Baltimore, four grandchildren, William Hughes, Brandi Hughes, Kaileb Hughes, and Paige Hughes, all of Baltimore, one brother, Harold Lee Cox, Jr. of Federick, two sisters, Melissa Cramer and her husband, George, of Middle River, and Mary Beth Lambert and her husband Donald, of Woodhaven, Michigan, an uncle John Michael Eckert and his wife Bekye, of Hamstead, 9 nieces and nephews, and 16 grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Reverend Howard “Buddy” Dunn officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery near Sykesville. Family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
