Michael H. Holecheck's Obituary
Michael H. Holecheck, beloved father and friend, passed away at the Caroline Hospice House Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was 59.
He was born on February 25, 1959 in Seaford, DE, the son of the late Harry F. Holecheck and Mary Higgins Holecheck. He graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1977 and later attended Chesapeake College where he received an Advanced Certificate in welding.
His passion was farming and he loved to grow strawberries and asparagus for his “Home Grown Produce” stands. He ran a Christmas tree lot for many years where he would make handmade wreaths. He was the owner and operator of M&H Welding and Boiler Repair for many years as an accomplished welder.
He loved to goose hunt and was an avid competitor in the World Championship Goose Calling contest at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, MD. He also enjoyed rock fishing, the great outdoors, and was always ready for an adventure. Michael was larger than life and will truly be missed by many.
He is survived by his daughter, Maggie Jo Holecheck, a brother and sister, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and very dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his uncle, Joseph Holecheck, and an aunt, Katherine “Kitty” Holecheck.
