Michael Allen Paul's Obituary
Michael Allen Paul passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hurlock on December 25, 2025. He was 50 years old.
Born on February 22, 1975, Michael was the son of Debbie (Smith) Hayden. He grew up in Dorchester County and was a graduate of North Dorchester High School. Following his formal education, Michael worked a number of different jobs-primarily in local distribution centers. He was most recently known as a manager at B&G Foods warehouse.
Michael was well known and well liked by all whom he met. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, four wheelers, motorcycles, and even raced RC cars. If Michael wasn't riding or driving something with wheels, then he probably was working on them. He was a master of all trades and known by many to be a good mechanic.
He is leaving behind his greatest treasure and accomplishment; a nine year old son, Ari Allen Paul. This little boy was Michael's pride and joy-his whole world.
Also left to mourn Michael are his mother and step-father Debbie and James D. Hayden, Jr. of Hurlock; step-brother, James Hayden III (Jay) of Cambridge; his half-sister, Christy Jones of Missouri and others; his grandfather, Victor Smith of Hurlock; his cousin, Tiffany Luebbecke and his uncle Hans Luebbecke of Preston; his good friends: Morris Harrison, "uncle" Buddy Bloom III, Jamie and Kayla McClyment, Scotty Lawrence, Adam Cheezum, and Kevin Wooters; several nieces and nephews, and many other friends and acquaintances.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Smith of Hurlock; his aunt, Brenda Lee Luebbecke of Preston and great aunt, Margaret Ann Todd of Federalsburg.
A viewing was already held privately for the family. No service to follow, but a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that all donations to be directed toward a bank account for his son, Ari Paul. More information to follow.
Arrangements are entrusted to Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD.
