Michael Edward Yates, Jr.'s Obituary
Michael Edward Yates, Jr., U. S. Army Private First Class, of Federalsburg, MD, died Monday, May 11, 2009 in Iraq. He was 19 years old.
He was born Sept. 5, 1989 in Baltimore, the son of Shawna Machlinski and step- son of Richard T. Van Blargan, Jr. of Federalsburg.
He attended Colonel Richardson High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed motorcycles and cars. He was serving as Calvary Scout in 3-66th Armored Bridgade.
Besides his parents he is survived by a son, Kamren Alexander Mister of Seaford, DE, eleven siblings, Amanda Jenkins and Kymberli Yates, both of Preston, Cali Machlinski of Federalsburg, Brittany Van Blargan of Kent Island, Alan Brady, Jr. of Manhattan, KS, Richard “Ricky” Van Blargan, III of Portsmouth, VA, Stephanie Ann Moore of Hurlock, and Emily Moore of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Robin Kohout, Steven Kohout, Kevin Kohout, all of Preston, a 2nd mom and dad, Daniel & Billie Jo Bishoff of Preston, maternal
grandparents, Jim & Linda Hurley of Baltimore, paternal grandmother, Virginia Van Blargan of Ridgely, paternal grandmother, Sharon Keil of Glen Burnie, MD, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veteran’s Cemetery in Beulah. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m. and 10:00a.m.-12:00 noon on Thursday.
