Mildred Jean Hopkins' Obituary
Jean Hopkins M. Jean Hopkins of Preston, died at the Talbot House, Easton on Sunday November 27, 2016. She was 57. Born in Washington, PA; on December 9, 1958 she was the daughter of Harry L. Moore and the late Betty E. Schwaninger Moore. Jean moved with her family due to her father’s occupation before settling in New Jersey. In 1998 she met Stanley Hopkins of Preston. They were married on October 16, 2002 and made their home in Preston. Jean worked as a driver for DCT of Denton, a position she held until retiring for health reasons. Jean is survived by her father, husband, and one son; Kenny Merigan In addition she is survived by three brothers; Michael, Daniel and Lance, also survived by one sister; Susan. In addition, Jean is also survived by her many dogs, and cats who were very special to her, A celebration of life will be held at the St. Michaels Crab & Steak House, 305 Mulberry Street, St. Michaels, on Saturday December 3, 2016 between 12:00 and 4:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Talbot Hospice Foundation 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD. 21601 or to the Talbot Co. Humane Society 7894 Ocean Gateway P.O. Box 1143 Easton, MD. 21601. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. of St. Michaels.
