Mildred Elizabeth Lord's Obituary
Mildred E. Lord, of Federalsburg, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 94.
She was born on February 27, 1922 in Smithville, a daughter of the late James and Edward Mitchell and Annie Cleavinger Mitchell. She was predeceased by her husband Ar Dav Thomas Lord, who passed away in 1975.
Mildred held various jobs during her lifetime. She enjoyed reading as well as doing puzzles.
She is survived by four children, Alice Parks Tollson and her husband William of Baltimore, Mary Vonville of Denton, Paul Milligan of Preston, and William L. Williamson and his wife Betty Anne of Federalsburg; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; one brother James Mitchell of Seaford; one sister Norma Lee Lecates of Laurel; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children, Robert A. Milligan and Virginia Smith and five siblings, Horace Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, Edith Mills, Helen King, and Lillian Leeser.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
