Mildred D. Young's Obituary
Mildred D. Young St. Michaels, Mildred D. Young passed from this life into eternity, from her St. Michaels home, on Sunday February 15, 2015. She was 71. Born on June 28, 1943 in St. Michaels, she was the daughter of, Albert young and Hilda Holmes Young. She was educated in Talbot Co. Public Schools. She then worked, as a care-giver, for the majority of her life. Ms. Young was a member of the Union United Methodist Church in St. Michaels where she had served as usher. She also did volunteer work for the St. Michaels Fire Dept. providing baked goods at their many fund raisers, including the annual carnival. Ms. Young leaves to mourn her son; Samuel E. Young, his wife Jean, a Grandson; Devin Young, all of Claymont, DE, two sisters; Helen Holmes, and Myrtle Horsey, both of St. Michaels, a brother; Leon Haynes of Grasonville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Charles Young, Albert Young, Maurice Young, and two sisters; Anita Young, and Elizabeth Murray. A funeral service will be held at the Union United Methodist Church, St. Michaels, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 1:00PM. A viewing will be held at the Church one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Thomas Cemetery, St. Michaels. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD. .
