Mildred Langrell Glessner's Obituary
Mildred Francis Langrell Glessner, formerly of Preston, MD, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Harrison House in Georgetown, DE. She was 89 years old.
She was born on November 8, 1918, daughter of the late Frank S. Langrell and Elizabeth Perry Langrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glessner.
She graduated from Preston High School and continued her education at Bridgewater College. She was the past owner and operator of the Linchester Mill. She enjoyed going to the Linchester Pond and the flour mill. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dog and her pet cats.
She is survived by three nephews, Frank H. Kruger and his wife Nina, Alvin “Buzz” Kruger and his wife, Josephine, and Paul Kruger, Sr. and his wife, Helen, all of Georgetown, DE, and several great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Kruger.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg with Rev. Anne Pruitt-Barnett officiating.
