Mildred Lloyd Morgan's Obituary
Mildred Lloyd Morgan of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD. She was 96 years old.
She was born March 6, 1912 in Laurel, DE, the daughter of the late Walter and Iva Boyce Hearn. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Amos Lloyd in 1971 and Roman Morgan in 1977.
She was a graduate of Seaford High School and had worked for Sunshine Laundry in Federalsburg. She was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg where she was a member of the Philathea Circle. She was a former member of the Federalsburg Senior Center.
She is survived by three sons, Ervan A.Lloyd and his wife, Shirley of Federalsburg, Donald Lloyd, Sr. and his wife, Carol of The Villages, FL, and Thomas Lloyd and his wife, Wanda of Federalsburg, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Warren Hearn (Annett) and Hollis Hearn of Seaford, 3 sisters, Isabelle Chandler of Milton, Kathleen Hastings and Doris Wilson of Seaford, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Chester Hearn, Manning Hearn, Boyce Hearn, Francis Hearn, Lee Hearn and Evelyn Marvil.
Funeral services will be held on Sun. Feb. 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Karen Bongard and Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
