Myrle Schanken's Obituary
Myrle Prescott Schanken of Preston, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at The Pines Nursing Home in Easton. She was 79. .
She was born on September 11, 1927 in St. Augustine, FL, the daughter of the late Walter Wise and Emma Wise Prescott. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rene Charles DeLisle on December 2, 1962.
She was a farmer and homemaker, and was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston. She had a great zest for life and loved the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Edwin Emil Schanken, Sr., six children, Michael DeLisle of Reliance, MD, Jeffrey DeLisle of Baltimore, MD, Stephen DeLisle of Elkton, MD, Renee DeLisle-Howes of Huntingtown, MD, Edwin Schanken, Jr. and Christopher Schanken, both of Hurlock, MD, eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Prescott.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 12 noon at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Pastor Edwin Thress officiating. Private interment will follow.
