Nancy Seymour Higgins' Obituary

Nancy Seymour Higgins of Claiborne, Maryland passed away peacefully on Sunday May 12, 2024, at Homestead Manor Assisted Living in Denton, Maryland. She was born September 16, 1929, in Easton, Maryland to Capt. Gardner F. and Helen Crockett Higgins. She lived in the family home that her parents built in Claiborne, Maryland nearly her entire life.
Nancy began a career with the FBI in the Baltimore office in 1951 and worked there as an investigative assistant until she retired in1979 to care for her family in Claiborne.
Nancy is survived by her special niece and companion, Beth Ellen Dawson, three other nieces and three nephews, and two more generations of extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Elizabeth "Betsy" Hudnall and Helen Dawson, and her brother John D. "Capt. Jack" Higgins. She will be remembered for her beaming smile, her sunny personality and her willingness to sacrifice everything to help those around her.
Her family will be forever grateful for the warm, compassionate care that she received from every member of the staff at Homestead Manor in Denton.
