Nannie Lee Bridegroom Steenken's Obituary
Nannie Lee McDonald Bridegroom Steenken died near Preston, MD at the home of her son Elwood on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. She was 90.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1921 in Hazelhurst, GA the daughter of the late William Lee McDonald and Fannie Mae Wood McDonald. A husband, Elwood E. Bridegroom preceded her in death 1981. She later married Otto H. Steenken who died in 2006.
She worked for E. I. Dupont Co. in Seaford as a machinist and later worked for ConAgra in Hurlock as a line supervisor.
She is survived by four children; Elwood Wayne Bridegroom and wife Susanne and Doyle Bridegroom and his wife Diane of Preston, Vanessa Lee Malcolm and her husband Stanley of Shelby, IA and William Alton Bridegroom of Lula, Georgia, 12 grandchildren a brother, John Alton McDonald of Federalsburg and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Annie Mary Plutschak, and two brothers, Teddie McDonald and Anon McDonald preceded her in death.
Funeral services for her will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Howard Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 – 2:00.
