Nelson C. Stanley, Jr.'s Obituary
Nelson Cornelius Stanley, Jr., of Federalsburg passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009 at his home. He was 55.
He was born in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland on December 23, 1953 the son of the late Nelson Cornelius Stanley, Sr., and Margaret Jackson Stanley of Trappe, Maryland.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1971. After school, he began working at the former Caroline Box Company, now known as Victory Packaging in Federalsburg. He enjoyed spending time with his family, mowing lawns, and was a member of the Scooter Boys Club.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Jackson Stanley of Trappe, Maryland, a sister, Diane Baltimore and husband Carl of Easton, and a brother James Stanley of Federalsburg, a special niece, Alicia Baltimore, of Bowie, MD, a godson, Tyrone Thomas, of Federalsburg, MD, step sisters Coleta Lee and Teresa Banks, both of Cambridge, Carolyn Sticer and Zena Chance both of Philadelphia, PA, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 1p.m. at Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg with the Bishop Raymond Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may visit the church from 11 to 1 on Thursday.
