Nettie Cordrey's Obituary
Nettie Jane "Janie" (Massey) Cordrey passed away at peacefully on April 17, 2026. She was 67 years old.
Janie was born on February 16, 1959 in Seaford, Delaware. She was one of eight children born to Ethel (Wright) and Daniel Massey. She graduated from North Dorchester High School, class of 1977. She then went on to get her CNA and work for Genesis Seaford Center for over 39 years, leaving in 2019.
During her free time, Janie enjoyed reading, crocheting, taking care of her beloved pets, spending time with family and FaceTiming with her great nieces and nephews, who she viewed as grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond Massey, Tommy Massey and Carlton Massey, her sister Terri Seymore, and brother-in-law Jimmy Cole.
She is survived by her two children, David Cordrey Jr and Niki Cordrey; siblings Brenda Cole, Margaret Kinnamon and Benny Massey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1:00 at Galestown Cemetery with Pastor Marie Colbourne officiating.
