Nicy McClain's Obituary
Nicy Galloway McClain of Hurlock, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born on August 12, 1915 in Eufale, Alabama the daughter of the late Isiah Galloway and Dora Mitchell Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin McClain.
She was a produce packer for Wings Landing Farm. She was a hard worker who enjoyed going fishing and loved her flowers.
She is survived by three sons, Willie McClain, James McClain, and Timothy McClain all of Hurlock, a daughter, Cora Lee McCants and her husband, William of Haines City, Florida, a close friend who treated as her own daughter, Karen Stanley of Hurlock, 14 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bessie Davis, a grandaughter, Vera Mae Davis, two grandsons, Junior Balkum and Andrew Davis, and three brothers, Lewis Galloway, Malph Galloway, and Doc Galloway.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Johns Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday.
