Norman Clarence Schied's Obituary
Norman C. Schied died peacefully on December 26th, 2017 at Bayleigh Chase at age 85 of cancer. Born in Rochester, New York on August 2nd, 1932, he was the only child of Clarence and Alice Schied.
He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Niagara University in Buffalo, New York.
He married Muriel Sargent in 1958 and moved his family to Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1969, he started his own business as a manufacture representative in the scientific biomedical field. He retired at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel, of 59 years, his children Wendy, Stephen, Nancy and Michael (Susie), grandchildren Daniela, Hannah, Caroline Lenkiewicz, Kate Lenkiewicz, Alexander and Conor, and preceded in death by Ryan Lenkiewicz.
Norman was a decent and honorable man who had a strong belief in his Catholic faith, adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He was successful with his strong work ethic in everything he did.
A mass will be held at St. Michael's Mission Church at 10:30 on Tuesday, January 2nd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salam Church Road, Newark, DE, 19713.
