Norman Draper Usilton's Obituary
Norman Draper Usilton, of Federalsburg, passed peacefully away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. He was 88.
He was born in Price, MD on August 22, 1927, a son of the late Norman Usilton and Elizabeth Draper Usilton.
Norman graduated from Greensboro High School, class of 1944. On October 24, 1970, he married the former Eleanor Nichols. Norman was employed for E.I. Dupont in Seaford, from which he retired in 1989 after his service for more than 35 years. He enjoyed listening to county music as well as watching sports on tv. Most of all, Norman enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, whom he truly adored. He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Usilton, of Federalsburg; a daughter, Lisa Collins and her husband, Eddie, of Federalsburg; a granddaughter, Michelle Collins, of Federalsburg; a step-granddaughter, Stephanie Merritt and her husband, Jeff, of Mooresville, NC; a step-grandson, Ed Collins and his wife, Marcia, of Hurlock; two step-great grandchildren, Kendall Mckinney, of Mooresville, NC and Brantley Collins, of Hurlock; a brother, Thomas Usilton and his wife, Doris, of Denton; two sisters, Judy Corkell, and her husband Mike, of Denton and Betty Baker, of Greensboro; a step-mother, Laura Usilton, of Greensboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, Mr. Usilton is preceded in death by two brothers, Mervin Usilton and Lawrence Usilton.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend David Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
