Norman Maurice Brown's Obituary
Norman Maurice “Sonny” Brown of Denton, MD died Wednesday,
July 26, 2006 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD. He was
66.
He was born Aug. 9, 1939 in Denton, MD, the son of the late Salisbury and Christine Frierson Brown.
He was a graduate of Lockerman High School and was a member of Christ Church of Rockville. He had worked for the former Pet Company in Greensboro and has been employed by State Highway Administration in road work.
He is survived by 5 children: Gloria Butler of Matthews, NC, Michael J. Brown and Terrance K. Brown, both of Baltimore, MD, Rozalind V. Brown of Philadelphia, PA, and Carolyn Y. Adams of Federalsburg;
15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings: Richard Brown of New Castle, DE, Kenneth Brown of Roxboro, NC, Phyllis Brown and Dalphine Cager, both of Severena Park, MD, and Sharon Brown of Germantown, MD, his former wife, Kathleen Carter of Preston, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Brown, and two brothers, William Brown and Regionald Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. July 29, 2006 at 12 Noon at the Christ Episcopal Church at 105 Gay Street, Denton, MD with Bishop Henry Joyner officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Denton, MD. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.
