Orville Luther Booze Jr, better known as Luke, passed away peacefully at home on April 22nd after an aggressive battle with lung cancer. He was 69 years old.
Born in Easton on December 13, 1956 to Orville Luther Booze and Peggy Elaine (Smith) Booze. He was the 5th of their 6 children. Luke grew up in Easton and attended Talbot County Public Schools, graduating from Easton High School in 1975. On Valentine's Day 1996 he married the love of his life, Linda Ostrowski Booze, and they spent more than 30 years together. He held various jobs over the years, but most notably was his career at Black & Decker where he worked until they closed. In his younger years, he was a competitive bowler and once won 5th place at Nationals. He also served almost 20 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Easton Volunteer Fire Department. Luke's passion was riding his Big Dog motorcycle and he worked to establish Chapter 2 of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. Most recently, he served one year as the Exalted Ruler of the Easton Elks Lodge.
Overall, it's hard to sum him up in a few sentences. He was a quiet man who loved his family fiercely. He taught his children the importance of sticking together, having each other's backs, and loving each other which they all still carry with them today. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings playing cards, games, or going out to eat. He loved working with his hands and always had a project going on. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him.
