Ovidio Caceres' Obituary
Ovidio Caceres of Bridgeville passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 81.
He was born on March 16, 1941 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juan Caceres and Romana Ortiz Caceres.
He worked for Housing Authority in New York City for many years before his retirement.
In his free time, he enjoyed watching little league games, boxing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Lourdes Nieves of Bridgeville; five children: Tania Caceres of Wilmington, Robin Caceres of Bridgeville, Deborah Ryan, Ricardo Caceres and William Torres all of New York City, NY; four grandchildren: Devin Ryan, Xela Caceres, Odinn Caceres and Aislinn and two siblings: Ramiro Caceres, his twin brother of Philadelphia, PA and Lucy Rodriguez of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings: Eddie Caceres and Israel Caceres.
The family will receive friends for the viewing from 12 noon to 2 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00PM at Old Paths Church of Christ in Georgetown with Pastor Frank Goehringer officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining churchyard.
