Owen and his wife lived in the other half of our duplex at 22 Albrook Drive, Webb AFB Big Spring TX. Owen was an instructor pilot with the 3560th Pilot Training Wing, and I was an aircraft maintenance officer. This was in 1969 I believe. I remember that my parents visited once from Santa Barbara and my father, Marvin Bock, who had done some electronic countermeasures work on Vietnam-era aircraft for USAF, had a spirited conversation with Owen about the F-105 and F-4G "Wild Weasel" aircraft. My sincerest condolences to Owen's family.

To the Family,
I just happened to be doing a search for Col. Owen Wormser and saw that he had passed. I served under him in Osan AB, Korea at the 314th Air Division. He and his wife were so kind to invite me and two other co-workers to your home for Thanksgiving Dinner. I never forgot that! I remember joking him about your sons being in Europe on what I think was a skiing trip at 15. I truly send my sympathies and condolences to the entire Wormser Family.

I was sad to learn of the passing of my old friend Owen Wormser. While he lived in Virginia he was a good and loyal friend not only to me but to so many others.
