St. Michaels, Patricia Lee “Patsy Evans of St. Michaels, died at the Memorial Hospital, Easton, on Tuesday June 18, 2013. She was 79. Born on August 3, 1933 in Talbot Co. she was the daughter of the late Albert Lee and Delcie Fairbank Lednum. Patsy (as she was known by all) graduated from St. Michaels High School. In 1953 she married Henry L. “Punk” Evans, they made their home in St. Michaels. During her working years, Patsy worked at various places in St. Michaels which include Nickerson’s Grocery Store, Rovetti’s (what is now known as the Mill) and her last position before her retirement was Manager of the “Kemp House” Bed & Breakfast all in St. Michaels. Mrs. Evans was an excellent homemaker, and enjoyed the wildlife around her home, watching the birds, squirrels, rabbits, and even a Blue Jay at her back door all of which she was able to hand feed. One summer to her delight a family of Owls took up residence in a tree in her front yard, Patsy watched over them as if they were her family. She loved her dogs, and grand-dogs, she also loved to take trips to Rehoboth Beach, DE., in the early years, and never turned down the chance to eat-out. Patsy’s sense of humor and easy going manner, will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. Patsy is survived by three children; Debra Evans Blessing, Barry Evans, and Dennis Evans (Hollie) all of St. Michaels, two Grandsons; Evan Blessing, of Easton, and Brandon Evans (Kelsey) of Federalsburg, one Great-grandson Mason, one step Great- grandson Braydon. In addition to her parents Patsy was preceded in death by triplet sons and her husband Henry. Friends may call at the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD. on Sunday, June 23, from 4:00 to 6:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 24, at 11:00AM Burial will be in the Olivet Cemetery, St. Michaels. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Michaels Fire Dept. 1001 S. Talbot St. St. Michaels 21663 or to the Baywater Animal Rescue 4930 Bucktown Rd. Cambridge, MD 21613.
