Paul Stafford's Obituary
Paul V. Stafford, formerly of Federalsburg, MD died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 in West Newton, PA. He was 84 years old.
He was born Dec. 13, 1923 in Hermine, PA, the son of the late Thomas F. and Catherine O. McGraw Stafford.
He was a high school graduate of Sewickley Township School, attended Bolan Academy in NY, and was a graduate of the military police school. He served his county for 22 years in the Army Air Force during WW II and the Korean War until he became disabled. He served our area in law enforcement as Duputy Sheriff in Talbot and Kent Counties, and was Chief of Police in Ridgely and Grensboro. He was a member of the American Legion Post 354 in Irwin, PA, a member of VFW Post 8427 in Hermine, PA,
and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 31 in Cambridge.
He is survived by his caregiver and nephew Terry Stafford and his wife Phyllis of West Newton, PA,2 grandsons, Brian Miller and Eddie Miller, both of San Pedro, CA, daughter-in-law, Johnia Miller of San Pedro, CA, 2 step-granddaughters, Brenda Morris of Federalsburg and Jeanie Pollard of Greenwood, DE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy C. Hubbard Stafford, a son Paul G. Stafford AKA Paul Frank Miller, 3 brothers, William, Thomas and James Stafford, and 2 sisters, Lodi Ghion and Margaret Flonagan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Hurlock, MD with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
