Pauline K. Porter's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pauline Lee Kibler Porter, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Pauline, age 88, peacefully departed this life on May 6, 2026, at Lofland in Seaford, DE, after a fulfilling life marked by love, family, and dedication.
Born on April 2, 1938, in Greensboro, MD, she was the cherished daughter of the late John Lawrence Kibler and Voad Ellen Combs. Pauline graduated from Greensboro High School in 1957, a stepping stone that led her to a life of meaningful work and personal fulfillment. She married her devoted husband, Clarence Edward Porter, on February 14, 1958, and together they built a beautiful life over 68 loving years.
Pauline's career spanned various roles, including her early days at Caroline Poultry, where she had the fortune of meeting Clarence. Her work with ILC of Fredrica and Dover was particularly notable; she earned the ASTP Award Certificate with a medallion for her essential contribution to the first international manned space mission. After her retirement, Pauline found joy in owning C&P Memorial Arrangements, allowing her to serve her community in a meaningful way.
Among her many interests, Pauline found great delight in thrift shopping and yard sales, tending to her flowers and garden, and spending quality time at the beach. She cherished her family above all, embracing moments with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, fostering connections that will forever be a part of their lives.
Pauline is survived by her devoted husband Clarence; her children Wayne Porter (Karla) of Federalsburg, Jeff Porter (Linda) of Greensboro, JoAnn Porter Smith of Seaford, and Darlene Porter Bailey of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Jessica Smith (Chris), Jason Smith (Lindsey), Joshua Porter (Keri), Joseph Bailey (Lizz), Jennifer Satchell (Cameron), Mike Porter (Katie), Richard Porter (Cheryl), and Erene Katris; as well as 17 great-grandchildren, her siblings George Kibler (Doris), Elizabeth Roe (Dale), and Donald Kibler, and many treasured nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Janet Draper, brothers J.C. Combs, Charles Lester Kibler, L. Dave Kibler, Roger Kibler, and Michael Kibler, and sons-in-law Steve Smith and Kevin Bailey.
In honor of Pauline's life and her enduring spirit, a funeral service will be held at Framptom Funeral Home on May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation, which will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and for a family viewing starting at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Pauline will be laid to rest at Bloomery Rd, Federalsburg, MD.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and community service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
