Pauline J. Rogers' Obituary
Jeanette Messick Rogers of Greenwood passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Tidal Health at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 80.
She was born on June 15, 1942 in Bridgeville, Delaware; the daughter of the late Marvin Messick and Pauline Short Messick.
She graduated from Bridgeville High School with the class of 1960. She later graduated from Cosmetology School in Elkton, Maryland before opening her own beauty salon for 45 years.
She had one son, Randy C Messick who passed away in 1995.
She had many friends and loved all of them. She spent most of her time with her family which always came first in her life. She loved working in her yard and her flower garden; and spending time with her beloved little dog "Baxter".
She is survived by a grandson: Randy C. Messick, Jr and his wife Autumn of Greenwood; four great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Jason, Michael and Ian; one sister: Jean Wesner and her husband Richard of Georgetown; and three nieces: Denise Draper and her husband Steven of Bridgeville, Penny Sharp and her husband Simon of Bridgeville and Heather Draper of Bridgeville; and two great nephews: Spencer and Christian.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1:00pm at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown.
A private service will be held at a later date at the Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville where her son, mother, father and love of her life Donald were laid to rest.
