Penny Lynn Bunting's Obituary
Penny Lyn Patchett Bunting, aged 72, died peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016, after succumbing to dementia. Penny was born February 2, 1944, in Easton MD., the daughter of the late James F. Patchett, Jr. and Helen S. Wright.
Penny thoroughly enjoyed gardening. Her “green thumb” with extensive vegetable gardens and with plants of all types leaves a legacy for many to be thankful for.
Penny graduated from Colonel Richardson High School and was a member of The Eastern Shore Covenant Church. A brain cancer survivor, she has been “a living miracle” for 28 years.
Penny is survived by her sons, Troy Williams, Bain Bunting and T.J. Bunting. Her sisters, Joanne Simmons, Janet Andrews and her sister in law Joanne Patchett; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three nephews and a niece. Penny was preceded in death by her brother, James F. Patchett, III and her step mother Josephine Patchett.
There will be a graveside service for family and friends at the Jr. Order Cemetery in Preston, MD on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to the National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St., Suite 200, Newton, MA. 02458
