Percy Myers Harding's Obituary
Percy Myers Harding passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton, Maryland. He was 93.
He was born on February 8, 1926 in Hurlock, Maryland, the son of the late Sewell Harding, Sr., and Ada Bailey Harding.
Percy grew up on the family farm in Dorchester County. He started a life-long career in construction working for Bill Fluharty, later worked for the Hurlock Lumber Yard and retired from Nuttle Lumber in Denton, MD after many years of faithful service.
Percy loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. He also was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed any type of car racing. He loved tending to his flower gardens and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by three children; Michael Harding (Cindy), Susan Runnels ( David), Jimmy Harding (Mary) all of Federalsburg, six grandchildren, Nancy Nagel of Federalsburg, Donald Nagel of Federalsburg, Lori Schmick ( Jay) of Linchester, Michael O’Harding (Maestro) of Pasadenda, Scott Runnels (Hope) of Trappe, Katie Eberspacher (Todd) of Linkwood, Leslie Krackow (Darrin) of Berea, Kentucky; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Harding, a great-grandson Donnie Nagel, one brother, Sewell Harding, Jr, and three sisters, Elva Noble, Lucille Gadow and Doris Adams.
Funeral services will be private.
