Peter John Jacobs' Obituary
Peter John Jacobs of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. He was 79.
He was born Feb. 10, 1928 in Hammonton, NJ, the son of the late John and Mary Biaggi Jacobs.
He was a graduate of Hammonton High School and was a WW II U. S. Navy Veteran serving from 1946 to 1948. He had owned and operated his own truck, and previously had a tree nursery in Hammonton, NJ and in Delaware.
He is survived by his wife, Marie E. Jordan Jacobs whom he married on Nov. 2, 1975, five children, Sharon Burden (Albert) of Pine Hill, NJ, Linda Heim (Norman) of Greenwood, DE, Dallasee Palverento, Desiree Black (Wayne), and Darryll Wallace, all of Seaford, DE, and Marie’s stepson, Michael Gormley of Philadelphia, PA, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one sister, Pauline Rector (Boyd) of Hammonton, NJ, two brothers, Joseph Jacobs (Carol) of Tuckahoe, NJ, and John Jacobs of Maryland; four nephews, and two nieces all of New Jersey. A brother, Pressey Jacobs preceded him in death.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. William Lawler officiating. Inurnment will be private.
