Phillip S Towers' Obituary
Phillip S. Towers passed away following a long illness on Monday, December 15, 2025 surrounded by family at his home in Federalsburg. He was 87 years old.
Born on February 16, 1938 in American Corner, Phillip was the son of the late Milton "Bunk" and Mabel (Whitby) Towers. He graduated from Federalsburg High School in 1956, where he was on the basketball team. After his formal education, Phillip began his career as a trailer mechanic. He worked for and retired from Utility / Eastern Shore Trailer Sales in Bridgeville, DE. He was a past member of the Jaycees.
In 1957, Phillip married the love of his life Beth Towers, and this past December 6th they celebrated 68 years of marriage. Together, Phillip and Beth made their home in Federalsburg, and it is there they raised their family. Phillip was devoted to his son Ricky, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. There wasn't a game, a meet, or a competition that Phillip wasn't at to cheer them all on.
Left to mourn Phillip are his wife Beth; his son Richard (Susan); his grandchildren Lindsey Smith (Jason), Justin Towers, Alyssa Towers, Noah and Joe Parsons and Nicole Harrison (Kevin); his great-grandchildren Kaylee Sard (Elijah), Tucker and Tori Smith, Caleb and Peyton Justice, Layla and Reba Harrison; his brother Kenneth Towers; and a special family member Linda Loweth (Martin).
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Mabel; his son, Michael Allen Towers; two of his grandchildren, Dustin Towers and Tommy Parsons; and his brothers, Jack, Donald, Billy, Bobby, and sister Marty.
At the request of Phillip, there will be no memorial service in his honor.
