Phyllis Pauline Mitchell's Obituary
Phyllis Pauline Mitchell of Federalsburg, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at UMSMC at Easton, MD. She was 85.
She was born Nov. 29, 1929 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Jaevins Beauchamp. Her husband Ralph Franklin Mitchell preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a graduate of Federalsburg High School Class of 1946. She was a pristine homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by eight children, Lewis Mitchell (Karen) of Leavenworth, KS, Di Ann Short (Wayne) of Greenwood, DE, Robert Mitchell (Karen) of Seaford, Brenda Coulbourne (James) of Federalsburg, Jaye Clough (John) of Church Hill, MD, Ruth Smith (Dwayne) of Federalsburg, Betty Jean Pollard (Keith) of Greenwood, Keith Mitchell (Amy) of Seaford, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law Clemmie Beauchamp and Shirley Beauchamp. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sue Mitchell, four brothers, Arthur, Bernard, Sherman, and Calvert Beauchamp, and two sisters Doryse Sciolino and Betty Mowbray.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Pastor Marie Coulbourne officiating assisted by Rev. Dan Walker. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
