Phyllis "Kitty" Tunnell's Obituary
Phyllis Ann “Kitty” Tunnell of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 65.
She was born Oct. 30, 1944 in Milford, DE the daughter of Bertha Mae Salvage Murphy of Delmar, MD and the late William G. Murphy.
She was a homemaker, and had been a former employee of Sisk Fulfillment. She enjoyed cooking and reading, and her joy was being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 4o years, Marvin L. Tunnell, whom she married on Oct. 17, 1969, 4 daughters Sylvia Finkbiner of Lincoln, DE, Connie Dukes of Laurel, DE, Heart Smith and Marvetta Tunnell, both of Federalsburg, a grandson that she raised Cory Aviles of Federalsburg; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons, a niece and a nephew whom she raised Gwen Butler and Doug Tucker, 2 brothers Ernest Murphy and Robert Murphy, both of Laurel, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, 2 brothers Billy and Arthur Murphy, and 2 sisters Grace Wisseman and Helen Marine.
