P. Kenneth Richards' Obituary
Paul Kenneth Richards of Harmony, MD passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 81 years old.
He was born Oct. 26, 1928 in Denton, MD, the son of the late James Elbert Richards and Ethel Lillian Thomas Richards.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving his country from 1948 to 1952. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5246 in Federalsburg. Mr. Richards was a truck driver for over 34 years, driving for the former Service Trucking and Jones Motor Co. in PA.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Dorothy Louise Richards, whom he married on June 27, 1954, a sister Margaret Ann Richards of Denton, nephew Michael Richards, niece Debbie Drummer, and closest friend, Jim Benchoff. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jeanette Richards Lomax and a brother James “Jim Bob” Richards.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Rebecca Kelley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the service.
