Prahalard "Buddy" Gounraj's Obituary
Prahalard “Buddy” Gounraj of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Sat. June 13, 2009 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 57.
He was born March 1, 1952 in Guyana, SA, the son of Susan Chintomby Gunraj of Alberta, Canada, and the late Trenton Gunraj.
He was a self-employed poultry farmer, owning and operating “Garvin Farm”. Buddy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston.
Besides his mother, Susan Gunraj, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joan Kamini Soogrim Gounraj, whom he married on Jan. 23, 1991, a son Garvin Gounraj and daughter Lauren Gounraj, both at home, six sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Rev. Edwin Thress officiating. Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
