Rachel Brummell's Obituary
Rachel Ricketts Brummell, 95, died on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the home of her daughter Mary C. Watkins in Bethlehem, PA where she had resided for the past 8 years.
She was born in Trinity, near Federalsburg, MD on January 22, 1912 the daughter of the late Edward and Rebecca Webb Ricketts. Her husband, Roland H. Brummell and a daughter, Florence Evans preceded her in death.
She worked for the E. I. Dupont Co. in Seaford Delaware for 33 years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church near Federalsburg for many years and was a member of its United Methodist Women and Usher Board. She regularly attended the Kingdom Hall in Bethlehem, PA.
She was the last of 11 brothers and sisters and also the last of 5 step-brothers and step-sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mary C. Watkins of Bethlehem, PA, 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law Helen Hubbard and Charlotte Russell.
