Raymond Bramble's Obituary
Raymond E. Bramble, Sr. of Federalsburg, MD and formerly of Arnold, MD, died on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Homestead Manor, an assisted living residence in Denton, MD. He was 94.
He was born on February 12, 1912 in Cambridge, MD the son of the late Willie M. Bramble. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Margaret Elizabeth Lane Bramble who died in 1994.
He was a retired union carpenter in Washington, D.C. and was a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of union local 1132. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a member of Nanticoke Lodge # 172 A.F. and A.M. in Federalsburg.
Two of his favorite pastimes were to watch the Orioles play baseball and woodworking in his shop.
He is survived by a sister, Bertie Parrot of Cambridge, MD, four daughters, Barbara E. Bateson of Livonia, Michigan, Marcenia F. Tate of Box Elder, South Dakota, Eunice E. Grap of Jessup, MD and Carolyn E. Bramble of Bumpass, VA three sons, Raymond E. Bramble, Jr. of Salem, SC, Stewart D. Bramble, Sr. of Severna Park, MD and Anthony E. Bramble of Wilmington, NC, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and many wonderful care providers and friends at Homestead Manor.
Funeral services for him will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Dale Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Masonic service will be held on Monday evening at 8:00 p.m..
The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Christ United Methodist Church, 201 South Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
