Trappe, Raymond Paul “Moonman” McDermott of Trappe died at the Memorial Hospital, Easton on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was 50.
Born on March 11, 1962, in Chester, PA. he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Graham McDermott. Ray attended public school in Delaware Co. PA. He moved to Maryland in 1978 and then to Trappe in 1988. Ray had held various jobs in the mid-shore area. At the time of his death he was a truck driver for Eddie Kaye Construction in Seaford, DE. Ray enjoyed driving dump trucks, fishing, drag racing and NASCAR; he lived life to the fullest! He is survived by his son; Jason McDermott (Brianna) of Trappe, his fiancée Lisa Dye of Easton, four sisters; Carol Mullins (Tom), Gail Williams (Robin) and Janet McDermott all of Trappe, Dorothy Talotta (Gerry) of Pittsburg, PA., one brother; John McDermott of Utah, his former wife; Denise English McDermott of East New Market. His was preceded in death by a brother; Larry and a sister Madeline. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Immanuel Wesleyan Church, Trappe, MD., where a viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8PM.
