Reginald L. Jackson's Obituary
Reginald Laaron Jackson 62, of Federalsburg, died at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE on Thursday, March 24, 2011.
He was born in Elkton, MD on October 2, 1948 the son of the late William Andrew Jackson and Edith Williams Jackson. He was a graduate of Colonel Richardson High School and served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. He worked for several years for DNB Industrial in Bridgeville, DE where he was a machine operator. He was a member of both Zion United Methodist Church in Federalsburg and Solomon’s AUMP Church near Williamsburg, where he has served as a minister. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Haynes Jackson, a daughter, Angela Annette Jackson of Denton, MD and two sons, Reginald Larron Jackson, Jr. of Federalsburg and Kevin M. Jackson of Delmar, MD, 2 grandchildren, Courtney Alexandra Jackson and Reginald Larron Jackson, III, 4 brothers, Bishop Delbert L. Jackson of Newark, DE, Wayne Jackson of Newport News, VA, Garry Jackson and William Jackson both of Elkton, MD, 4 sisters, Rhonda Jackson, his twin sister Regina Jackson Webster, Margo J. Brown and Sandra J. Townley all of Perryville, MD and several nieces, nephews, foster brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts and friends. Funeral services for him will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church 301 N. Main Street in Federalsburg, MD with Bishop Delbert L. Jackson officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, MD.
