Rev. John E. Taylor's Obituary
Rev. John Edwin Taylor of Vienna, MD passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at
Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge, MD. He was 90 years old.
He was born Dec. 18, 1920 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Ira Edwin Taylor and
Elsie Madora Collison Taylor.
He graduated from Seaford High School. He continued his education at Banks Business College, Wesley Junior College, and Delaware State. He also took advanced studies at Wesley Seminary in Washington D.C. John became a Methodist minister and served several local churches through the years. He also enjoyed traveling.
Rev. Taylor is survived by his wife of almost sixty-nine years, Rosalee Willin Taylor, whom he married August 15, 1942, two daughters, Janice Elaine Ewell and her husband, Dennis of Vienna, Wanda Iris Zullo and her husband Joseph, Jr. of Lewes, two grandchildren, Amy Metzner of Lewes and her husband, Frank, and Joseph Benjamin Zullo, III, and his wife Claudia of Newark, three great-grandchildren, Mallory Metzner, Julia Metzner, Camryn Metzner all of Lewes.
