Richard Paul Childers, Sr's Obituary
Richard Paul Childers, Sr. passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 after a long battle with Cancer. He was 74 years old.
Born October 9, 1951 in Baltimore, Paul was the son of the late James and Dorothy Childers. Paul left high school early to proudly serve in the Army in 1968. After his tour in Vietnam he joined the National guard serving until 1981. Paul spent many years in the automotive and RV sales industry. Paul was a life member of the VFW.
Left to mourn Paul is his wife Tina; his children Carolyn (Jamie), Christina(Harvey), Richard Jr(Lori) and Michelle(Michael); his six grandchildren Aidan Triplett, Kalei Knox, Isabella and Hayden Hooper, and Reagan and Noah Childers; and his several Nieces and Nephews. Paul also leaves behind his beloved pug Bruno.
In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his brother James "Bucky" Childers and sister Sharon Brisenhan.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, January 15 2026 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wreaths across America, the Wounded Warrior foundation, or Cub Scout Pack 461.
