Richard Carlton Tawney's Obituary
Richard Carlton Tawney, known as "Skip" passed away on February 19, 2023 at his home. He was 60.
He was born on April 1, 1962 in Preston, Maryland the son of the late Maurice Zimmerman and Ruth May Zimmerman.
He graduated from Saint Michaels High School with the class of 1980. After his education, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served for over 30 years as an Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist, Propulsion Mechanic, Computer Systems Manager and finally an Aircraft Mechanic. After his retirement, he returned home to Laurel.
Skip enjoyed working with computers, travel and motorcycles. He was also an avid reader.
He is survived by a brother, David Brown and his wife Bambi of Laurel, a sister Carla Hall and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 1:00 at Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg burial follow with full military honors at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
