Richard Curtis Yoder, Sr.'s Obituary
Richard C. Yoder, Sr. of Milford passed away March 28, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.
He was born February 17, 1935 in Salem, OH to the late Caleb Yoder and Ada Horst Yoder.
He was married on October 25, 1958 to Barbara Yoder.
He worked for Sam Yoder and Son where he held a variety of positions over the years.
Richard loved people - and never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garden, sharing produce with his family, friends and loved ones. He loved spending time with his family and being involved in the lives of his grandchildren; often attending their extra-curricular events like choir programs and basketball games.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Yoder of Greenwood, five sons: Curtis Yoder and his wife Elvida of Houston, DE, Kevin Yoder and his wife Carla of Milford, Lamar Yoder and his wife Beckie of Greenwood, Loren Yoder and his wife Terri of Barrington, Rhode Island, and Jeff Yoder and his wife Kristy of Mount Joy, PA; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; one brother Wilbur Yoder of Columbiana, OH and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David Yoder.
Graveside services will be on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 1:00 at Greenwood Mennonite Church Cemetery followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 at Living Hope Fellowship, 13848 Staytonville Rd in Greenwood. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at Living Hope Fellowship from 6:00 to 8:00.
